Security doors offer a physical barrier designed to deter and delay intruders for a specified time period. These doors should be used in conjunction with secondary defences and specified accordingly. Our Intruder & Blast Doors have been tested to and passed BS EN 1627:2011 and are available in a variety of LPS 1175 security ratings from SR2 to SR4. Intruder & Blast Doors have also been tested to European Security Standard DD ENV 1627:1999.
Our Security Doors have also been tested to and passed Warrington Exova Certisecure STS 202 standard and are included in the ‘Secured by Design’ scheme; the official UK Police initiative to ‘design out crime’. The SD4 Security Door is further enhanced for blast resistance and is tested to EXR2 and EXR3 of the BS EN 13124-2:2004 (Explosion Resistance) standard.
The use of security doors is particularly project specific and a number of questions should be addressed before a specification is finalised. We would recommend discussing your requirements with our sales office on 0330 133 1528 to evaluate the appropriate level of security door for your project.
JDH Security PAS 24 Security Doors
The PAS 24 is an attack test standard for doorsets which certifies that a particular door, frame, lock and hardwear set has withstood a series of physical tests based on common methods of burglary. These doorsets provide the minimum police requirement for ‘Secured by Design’ dwellings.
The PAS 24 standard is awarded by a UKAS accredited certification body and replaces a number of earlier standards with effect from August 2012. This standard assures the purchaser that the product has been manufactured to an approved, and verified, standard.
